What makes OneChild effective?
Contextualized partnerships. OneChild partners with, and builds connections between, local churches and community leaders who are already helping children but need support to grow their impact.
Trusted relationships. OneChild's Child Champions are committed to child protection, know the local needs in their communities, and are entrusted with the best way to serve kids in the program in their area.
Personalized care. Our global community exists so that each child in poverty can experience transformational love, support, child development opportunities, education, and have access to the resources needed to overcome the challenges they face.
One-to-one sponsorship. This model provides the opportunity for sponsors and children to build a relationship where they learn about one another, share their hopes, dreams, and faith, and pray for each other. This connection is fostered by regular correspondence where sponsors encourage their children through the messages and small gifts they send.
A four-stage Partnership Development and Maturation Model. Transformational and sustainable development takes intentionality and time, but the shared goal with our partners is to establish Hope Centers in communities that are eventually entirely supported and run by local partners and staff.
