How does OneChild protect kids in the program?
OneChild is committed to the security, well-being, and success of kids in hard places. Child Champions in the countries where we work receive specialized training and certification around Child Protection that they use to train others at Hope Centers. In addition, anyone in direct contact with children in our Hope Centers (from cooks to teachers to volunteers) must complete Child Protection Modules and sign and agree to a Statement of Commitment to Child Protection.
In OneChild's messaging, we protect children by changing their names and using photos that protect their identities.
